Irish Foraged Seaweed

Come join Sykoni for a walk along our pristine coastline and discover the culinary delights of seaweed. This will be a leisurely walk along the shoreline, to help you identify, forage and use some of the seaweeds that grow along our coast. Seaweed is one of the most nutritious vegetables on earth. It is a superfood and luckily for us grows prolifically in the crystal clear waters beside us.

This walk will be held at Garnish beach. Meeting at the Coppermines Museum at 12:15 and car pooling to Garnish strand (the pier).

Come suitably dressed and bring sharp scissors and a basket, bag or container if you intend to forage some to take home.

Foraging your own food is fun and all are welcome. Free walk. Suggested donation €5
